Martin Shkreli may well be the most hated man in the world. The former CEO of Retrophin was responsible for hiking the price of a drug known to help with the AIDS virus by 5000%. However, he is not being charged for that action. Rather, the drug company CEO is being charged with securities fraud. Along with his accomplice, lawyer Evan Greebel, Shkreli is alleged to have lied to investors about the buying and selling of securities. They are further charged with eight counts of fraud, as well as embezzling the money from the securities in order to pay off bad market debts.
