On June 23rd, a referendum will be held on whether or not Britain should leave the European Union. Opinion is sharply divided, and no side appears the clear winner as of now. The Brexit option argues that leaving would provide relief from the Union’s restrictive trade laws and thereby boost the economy. However, those who wish to stay with the EU take a much more pessimistic view of life outside. They argue that trade and investment would take a hit, resulting in an eventual recession.
