VOLKSWAGEN FACES SUPPLIER DISPUTE

Volkswagen’s troubles never seem to end. First, the environmental scandal where their cars were found to be outputting nearly 40x what they were reported to. Now, a fight with suppliers in Germany has forced the automobile manufacturer to cut hours for nearly 30,000 workers at six of its factories. The suppliers, whose parts Volkswagen needs in order to construct the cars, are meant to resume deliveries, but are also contesting the decision in an appeal that will be heard next week. UBS analysts believe that this halt in production could cost the Wolfsburg-based company up to $113 million.
