GREYHOUND BUS CRASH LEAVES 2 DEAD IN SOUTH SAN JOSE

Two female passengers were killed today morning when a Greyhound bus carrying 20 passengers flipped on its side in South San Jose on Highway 101. The driver who sustained injuries has admitted he was 'fatigued' at the time of the incident. The accident was reported shortly before 6:40 a.m. on Highway 101 at state Route 85. Eight other people suffered injuries, including a 7-year-old. The bus was heading towards San Francisco when the driver lost control and hit the median barrels.

SUPREME COURT TO HEAR CASE ON OBAMA'S IMMIGRATION ACTIONS

The Supreme Court of the United States has decided to hear a petition challenging President Obama's executive actions on immigration. In November 2014, Obama had announced plans to shield from deportation up to 5 mn immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally. The Supreme Court will be the final authority on the constitutionality of the proposed legislation. Under the plan, people living in the U.S. illegally who are parents of U.S. citizens and permanent residents would be allowed to remain here and receive a work permit. The case will be heard in April with a ruling expected by June.

GOOGLE LAUNCHES LOCAL VERSION OF YOU TUBE IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan has removed a three-year ban on YouTube after the video-sharing website launched a local version that allows the government to remove material it considers offensive. Pakistan banned access to YouTube in September 2012 after an anti-Islam film, was uploaded to the site. The movie sparked violent protests across major Pakistani cities. Pakistan has blocked thousands of web pages it deems undesirable in the last few years as internet access spreads.

RAFAEL NADAL KNOCKED OUT OF AUSTRALIAN OPEN ROUND 1

In some sports news...in Tennis...Rafael Nadal crashed out of the Australian Open first round after a five-set battle against fellow Spanish player Fernando Verdasco. Verdasco won 7-6 (8/6), 4-6, 3-6, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2. It was the worst ever Grand Slam performances for Nadal, who also lost in the 2013 Wimbledon first round and has not won a major title since the 2014 French Open.
