SAN JOSE COUNCIL APPROVES AGREEMENT FOR APPLE CAMPUS IN NORTH SAN JOSE

The city of San Jose has approved an updated development agreement that paves the way for Apple to begin work on its 86-acre campus in North San Jose. The agreement could help in creating 16,000 jobs in the city. The future Apple campus is located on the north side of U.S. 101 near the Highway 87 interchange and stretches along Charcot Avenue to North First Street. The new San Jose campus which could be as large as 4.15 mn sq ft will be used for office, research and development space. Apple will continue to maintain its Cupertino campus.

HILLARY CLINTON'S LEAD OVER BERNIE SANDERS SHRINKS

Hillary Clinton's advantage over Bernie Sanders has shrunk by a narrow margin in the race for 2016 GOP. 49% of Democratic primary voters now support Clinton down from 54% two weeks ago. Bernie Sanders's lead has dropped by two points to 37%. Last June, Clinton held a 46-point lead over Sanders. However since then, Sanders’ support has grown slowly but steadily. Clinton's support among the black voters has witnessed an erosion with 67% of the community supporting her; down from 78% two weeks ago and 84% in December.

DISNEY SUED FOR REPLACING AMERICAN WORKERS WITH IMMIGRANTS

Two former employees at Walt Disney World in Florida are suing Disney and two Indian outsourcing companies for colluding and replacing American workers with cheaper immigrant labor. The lawsuits filed in a Tampa Federal Court names Disney, HCL & Cognizant as law-breakers. Disney has said in a statement that the lawsuits are based on an unsustainable legal theory and are a misrepresentation of the facts. This is the first time Americans have gone to a Federal Court to sue both the outsourcing companies that imported immigrants and the American company that contracted with those businesses.

ASTRONOMERS DISCOVER LARGEST SOLAR SYSTEM

Astronomers have discovered the largest known solar system, consisting of a large planet that takes nearly a million years to orbit its star. The planet called as 2MASS J2126-8140, is between 12 and 15 times the mass of Jupiter. The gas giant is one trillion kilometres away, making its orbit 140 times wider than Pluto's path around our Sun. This system is nearly three times the size of the previous widest star-planet pair.
