SAN FRANCISCO, OAKLAND RANK LOW ON HEALTHY CITY SCALE

San Francisco has been surprisingly ranked low on a list of the best and worst U.S. cities "for an active lifestyle." The city was ranked 27 out of the nation's 100 most populous cities. The survey was conducted by Washington D.C.-based personal finance web site WalletHub. The rankings were determined based on parameters such as average monthly fitness club fees and the number of public swimming pools per capita. Oakland was ranked at number 49. According to a WalletHub analyst San Francisco suffered because of high costs for metrics like monthly fitness fees and the cost of renting a squash or tennis court.

PATHANKOT TERROR ATTACK MASTERMIND IDENTIFIED

In some news from India...Intelligence agencies have identified Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Chief Maulana Masood Azhar as the prime mastermind of the Pathankot terror attack. India has also identified 4 JeM handlers suspected to have a hand in the attack. India expects Pakistan to act upon the evidence by locating and arresting the handlers. India has also said that foreign secretary-level talks with Pakistan will go ahead only if Islamabad acts on the intelligence provided by Delhi.

MAN SHOT IN PARIS ON CHARLIE HEBDO ANNIVERSARY

French police have shot dead a man who was apparently trying to attack a police station on the anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attacks. The Paris prosecutor's office is opening a terrorism investigation into the incident. A piece of paper with an Islamic State (IS) flag and claim for the attack written in Arabic was found on the suspect's body. In January 2015, 17 people were murdered in a series of attacks after objectionable cartoons depicting the Islam religion was published in the satirical French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA WINS PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

And finally...in some Entertainment News...Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has become the first South Asian actress to win a People's Choice Award. Chopra won the "favourite actress in a new TV series" award for her role as an FBI agent in the American thriller Quantico. Her fellow nominees for the award included Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Marcia Gay Harden. Chopra was also one of the presenters at the award show.
