SUN SUNI KHABAR APRIL 25TH, 2016

John Risdel, a Canadian hostage captured by the Islamic terror group Abu Sayyaf, was killed in the Philippines yesterday, according to a statement from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Risdel had been held since September of last year, along with three other hostages. Trudeau and the Canadian government declined to comment in order to preserve the ongoing effort to rescue the other hostages. Risdel had been abducted from the Oceanview Resort in the southern part of the Philippine Islands, home to Abu Sayyaf, a separatist group that has been linked to al Qaeda.

BRADY SUSPENSION REINSTATED

‘Deflategate’ was one of the largest scandals of the 2014-2015 NFL season. The Patriots were accused of using deflated footballs in their AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. Initially Brady had been awarded a four game suspension, which was later overturned due to certain “significant legal deficiencies”. However, a new ruling has reinstated that punishment, with Commissioner Roger Goodell saying that nothing is decided yet, but justice will be served. Many believe that Brady was in on the scheme, but the Patriots quarterback was accused of destroying evidence that may have corroborated the fact.

Layyah District Coordination Officer Rana Gulzar said that people began falling sick on Thursday. Hayat himself is in critical condition at the hospital.
