At its annual shareholders meeting last week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk told the audience that Tesla is willing to share the data it collects from its Autopilot system with the federal government and with other manufacturers. “On a statistical basis, we don’t have any issues with them sharing that with other manufacturers,” he said. “We’re very sensitive about that on an individual car basis, but on a statistical basis, that’s an offer we’ve already made to the department of transport. So we want to be helpful.”
