PENGUINS ON STANLEY CUP DOORSTEP
The San Jose Sharks’ first Stanley Cup Final has been a baptism of fire. After pulling one back in Game 3, the boys in teal lost Game 4 to the Pittsburgh Penguins, going down 3-1 in the series. Despite more faceoff wins and more shots, San Jose was denied another win by the Penguins’ rookie goalkeeper Matt Murray. San Jose had 24 shots. Murray saved 23. Throughout the series, Pittsburgh has always been the one to strike first, a pattern that didn’t break on Monday, with Cole finding the back of the net just 7:36 into the first period.
