ORLANDO THEME PARK BROKEN BY KILLINGS

The happiest place on Earth. That’s what Disney touts its theme parks as. Orlando’s Disney World no longer feels that way. Along with Universal Studios and SeaWorld, Disney World is located within 20 miles of the nightclub that Omar Mateen shot up. Disney has an incredible amount of business in the Florida city, with a payroll of over $2 billion, 74,000 employees, 27 hotels and 4 theme parks. Due to this, as well as the business that SeaWorld and Universal Studios bring in, Orlando saw one of the largest tourist waves in the United States in 2014. Sixty three million people visited Orlando in 2014. One of the victims of the shooting worked at Universal Studios. Luis Vielma worked at the Harry Potter ride in Universal Studios. JK Rowling tweeted out his picture, saying that she couldn’t stop crying.
