GERMAN CINEMA GUNMAN KILLED BY POLICE
Mass shootings seem to be the flavor of the month. In Germany, a gunman took hostages in a theater. Initial reports have 25 people injured, but officials are unsure of the exact number and the nature of their injuries. The perpetrator was later killed by the police in a shootout. A spokesman for the German police department said that the shooter was the only one who suffered casualties during the exchange of fire. While it is known that the shooter took hostages, it is unclear why. The cinema itself is located in a popular German shopping complex, which hosts over 20,000 visitors per day and is home to more than 100 businesses. Employees in the complex at the time of the shooting said they have never seen anything like what happened in the cinema.
