JHARKHAND CABINET GIVES GO-AHEAD FOR PLASTIC

The Jharkhand cabinet seems to be pushing for more exposure of the plastic industry in its state. On Tuesday, the 11 man cabinet, led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, allowed for the creation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) and an industrial park meant to promote the plastic industry. The ministerial council further approved a Rs. 120 crore budget for the project, which is to be set up in the Deoghar district. Cabinet Coordination Secretary Surendra Singh Meena said that a deal was cut with HP in which they would provide hardware for the park, while the state would furnish the electricity.
