LEPAGE VS GATTINE
Maine Governor Paul LePage has made news again for a controversial story. LePage, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, heard from reporters that Democratic State Rep. Drew Gattine called him racist, a fact which Gattine denies. The speculation came in the wake of LePage’s comments that "90-plus percent [of drug dealers in his state] are black and Hispanic people". LePage then called Gattine and left an expletive-filled voicemail on Gattine’s system, challenging the Democrat to prove that the governor was, in fact, racist. LePage apologized, saying that “racist” is a terrible slur.
