ADANI GREEN OPERATIONALISES 551 MW IN WORLD'S LARGEST SOLAR PARK
On Wednesday, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), the renewable energy arm of the Adani Group, announced the operationalization of 551 megawatts (MW) of solar power generation capacity at Khavda in Gujarat. AGEL has commenced supplying power to the national grid from this plant, which is part of its ambitious plans to build the world's largest solar park with a capacity of 30 gigawatts (GW) at Khavda.
Khavda, located in the Kutch district of Gujarat, is an auspicious location for both wind and solar energy projects. The region benefits from high solar irradiation, receiving approximately 2,060 kWh/meter-square, making it an ideal location for solar energy generation. Additionally, it boasts abundant wind resources, with wind speeds averaging around 8 meters per second, further enhancing its potential for renewable energy development.
