BANKIPUR BYPOLL: BJP CHIEF NITIN NABIN VOWS INTROSPECTION KISHOR AFTER PARTY ENDS PARTY'S 30-YR HOLD

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday said the party would undertake a "thorough introspection" after losing the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar, where Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar to end the party's three-decade dominance in the constituency.

Kishor won the bypoll by 19,324 votes, polling 64,151 votes against Neeraj Kumar's 44,827 votes. The victory marked Kishor's first electoral win since launching the Jan Suraaj Party and came less than a year after the party failed to win a single seat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Reacting to the bypoll results, Nabin accepted the verdict and said the BJP would analyse the reasons behind its defeats. In a post on X, Nabin said, "We accept the mandate received in today's three assembly by-elections.
