BIDEN'S JOB APPROVAL DROPS TO 38% AS BORDER WORRIES RISE

In January, President Joe Biden's approval rating experienced a decline, with Americans expressing concerns about the economy and immigration, coinciding with the Democratic Party's intensifying reelection efforts. Only 38% of survey participants indicated approval of Biden's performance as president, down from 40% in December.

Since August 2021, Biden's public approval rating has remained below 50%, prompting unease among fellow Democrats, particularly as he prepares for a potential rematch with Republican former President Donald Trump in November. The latest poll highlighted growing apprehension about immigration, with 17% of respondents identifying it as the most significant problem facing the U.S. This figure marked a notable increase from December when only 11% viewed it as the primary issue. Notably, immigration emerged as the top concern for Republican respondents, with 36% citing it as their main worry, surpassing the 29% who prioritized the economy.
