BLACKBERRY OPENS LARGEST COE FOR IOT ENGINEERING & INNOVATION OUTSIDE CANADA IN HYDERABAD

BlackBerry Limited has inaugurated its largest Center of Excellence (CoE) for engineering and innovation outside of Canada in Hyderabad, India. This facility, dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) division, has the capacity to accommodate 180-200 technology professionals. It will function as the Asia Pacific hub for the BlackBerry QNX global developer network.

The CoE aims to advance mission-critical embedded software development for various IoT industries. Currently, it has a team of 60 members, with plans to double its headcount over the next year. Mattias Eriksson, President of BlackBerry IoT, shared this information on Wednesday, mentioning that globally, BlackBerry IoT employs about 850 professionals.
