BRITAIN AWARDS THALES $2.4 BLN ROYAL NAVY CONTRACT

NEWS Desk Global

On Friday, Britain awarded a 1.85 billion pound contract to French electronic defense company Thales to maintain the sonar and sensors on Royal Navy ships and submarines for the next 15 years.

As part of the deal, Thales will leverage artificial intelligence, data management, and virtual reality technologies to anticipate faults and reduce repair times. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency by increasing the number of days that ships are available for deployment at sea.
