CHANDRAYAAN 3 WINS PRESTIGIOUS WORLD SPACE AWARD
India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission has brought immense pride to the nation by winning the prestigious World Space Award for its remarkable contributions to space exploration. The award, presented by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), recognizes the mission’s historic achievement of making India the first country to land near the lunar South Pole.
This milestone places India among the elite group of nations, including the United States, Russia, and China, that have successfully conducted soft landings on the moon.The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 14, 2024, during the opening of the 75th International Astronautical Congress in Milan, Italy.
