FLYERS AND VLADAR WORKING TOWARD LONG-TERM CONTRACT EXTENSION

To no real surprise, it looks like the Flyers are planning to re-up with their most valuable player. The club and goaltender Dan Vladar are working toward a five-year contract extension, according to a report Sunday night by ESPN's Kevin Weekes. The deal could reach six years, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. Per the reports, the contract's average annual value will be in the $5 million range.

Vladar isn't eligible to sign an extension until July 1, the start of the new league year. Next season, he'll be on the final year of a two-year, $6.7 million deal ($3.35 million AAV).
