To control incidents of dumping of sewage in drains and manual scavenging more effectively, amendments have been proposed to Delhi Water Board Septage Management Regulations 2018, which include incentivising authorised vehicle owners carrying sewage to designated sewage treatment plants (STPs) with Rs 500 per trip.
