JOBY AVIATION EXPANDS MARINA FACILITY FOR AIR TAXI PRODUCTION

Joby Aviation, a Santa Cruz-based air taxi startup, will soon be able to serve wide areas, including parts of the Bay Area.

The startup just doubled its production site in Marina, south of Moss Landing in Monterey County. Once fully operational, it'll be able to produce up to two dozen aircraft per year. Joby still hopes to get a certification from the Federal Aviation Administration as soon as this year.
