JPMorgan Chase has announced the appointment of Filippo Gori and Doug Petno as co-heads of global banking as part of a reorganization of its business structure. In this new structure, the commercial, corporate, and investment banking franchises will be merged under the global banking division. This realignment aims to enhance the bank's client coverage, particularly as clients grow in size and complexity. Doug Petno, who has been with the bank since 2012 and previously headed the commercial banking group, will now serve as co-head of global banking alongside Filippo Gori.

In addition to his role as co-head of global banking, Filippo Gori will also take on the position of CEO for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This restructuring follows Citigroup's announcement earlier on Monday that Viswas Raghavan, the former head of global investment banking at JPMorgan, will assume the role of head of banking at Citi. These leadership changes reflect the ongoing evolution and strategic adjustments within the global banking sector.
