The City of Mountain View recently received $50 million in state funding for housing and transit projects. Most of the money is expected to go toward a seven story affordable housing complex on East Evelyn Road.

The rest of the funds will go to public transportation such as Caltrain, pedestrian safety, bus shelters and more. Construction for the affordable housing complex is scheduled to begin in mid-December.
