STANFORD UNIVERSITY WILL CUT OVER 360 JOBS

Stanford says White House policies will cost hundreds of jobs at the university. New state filings reveal the university is cutting 363 jobs at the end of September. The university said it's all because of a loss of $140 million from its general fund budget, due in part to federal policies.

Recent cuts have impacted the funding Stanford gets for its research, and President Donald Trump's signature budget bill increased the university's endowment tax. Stanford currently employs about 13,000 people.
