Chunli Zhao, the defendant in the Half Moon Bay mass shooting that left seven people dead and one injured, admitted during a jailhouse interview Thursday with NBC Bay Area's Janelle Wang that he committed the fatal shootings. According to the interview, Zhao says he has endured years of bullying during his tenure on the farms, and these issues with the workers were never addressed. He also said that he wasn't in the right mindset during the shooting, and that he thinks he has a mental illness and wants to get evaluated by a doctor.
