VEHICLE CATCHES FIRE AFTER CRASH ON HIGHWAY 87 IN SAN JOSE

The California Highway Patrol in San Jose is investigating a single-car crash on northbound state Highway 87 at Interstate 280.

The car caught fire, CHP said in a social media post just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. The connector ramp was closed following the crash. It is not clear what caused the crash. CHP said the person transported from the scene did not suffer fatal injuries and is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.
