VLADIMIR PUTIN WILL RUN FOR PRESIDENT AGAIN IN 2024 ELECTIONS

Russian president Vladimir Putin on Friday said he will run for president in the 2024 presidential election, a move that will keep the 71-year-old in power until at least 2030. Putin still commands wide support after nearly a quarter-century in power, despite starting an immensely costly war in Ukraine that has taken thousands of his countrymen's lives, provoked repeated attacks inside Russia -– including one on the Kremlin itself -– and corroded its aura of invincibility.
