TRUMP’S CAMPAIGN MANAGER ARRESTED IN FLORIDA

Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump’s campaign manager was arrested and charged with simple battery in Jupiter, Florida. According to a statement from Jupiter police, Lewandowski turned himself in Tuesday morning. His court appearance is scheduled for May 4th, and Hope Hicks, campaign spokeswoman, says that Lewandowski plans to pleadnot guilty. John Kasich’s campaign manager weighed in on the situation, saying that if Lewandowski worked for the Kasich campaign, he would be fired.

AIRPLANE HIJACKER ARRESTED

Farrah El Dibany, a passenger on an EgyptAir flight headed to Cairo, became suspicious when the cabin crew on her flight began collecting passengers’ passports. The crew then told the passengers that they were being hijacked, resulting in panic and crying across the plane. The hijacker was an unstable man who held the plane hostage with a fake explosive belt. The crisis came to a peaceful end when he landed in Cyprus and was arrested by authorities.

PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS GET BIG WIN WITH SCOTUS

The Supreme Court, in a tie decision that supported the legacy left by the late Antonin Scalia, supported the lower court decision regarding organized labor. The case was brought to court by a libertarian group of teachers who wanted to be able to charge for collective bargaining. Those who were in support of public sector unions were afraid that the SCOTUS would go against the precedent and rule against the unions. After Judge Scalia’s death, the court was deadlocked at 4-4.

FAMILIES EVACUATE TURKEY FOLLOWING ISIS THREAT

In a statement on Tuesday, the Pentagon said that families should evacuate southern Turkey due to security concerns. United States military plans to move families using facilities at Izmir and Mugla. They have placed Turkish airports under Force Protection Condition Delta, the highest protection afforded by American military. Due to continuing ISIS threats, as well as the attacks in Brussels, Pakistan and Iraq, the Pentagon believed the threat to be significant enough to evacuate Turkey.
