The Supreme Court ruled against conservatives in a key voting rights case on Monday. The case had to do with the “one person, one vote” rule dating back to the 1960s. That rule stipulates that legislative districts for each state must be equally drawn based on population. However, the rule was vague in that it did not specify whether the population encompassed everyone or just those who voted. Two Texas plaintiffs brought this lawsuit up, claiming that their district was not being represented.

COLOSSAL’ MISTAKE IN AMTRAK CRASH

An Amtrak train crashed Sunday morning, killing construction workers

and severely damaging the railroad. It had 341 passengers. Further investigation reveals that the workers who were killed were working on lines that were considered active. Amtrak says it is not uncommon for workers to be conducting repairs on a Sunday, but the fact that these workers were using a large piece of machinery may have contributed to the accident.

TRUMP WANTS KASICH OUT

Ohio Governor John Kasich has won one primary in this presidential race, his home state. Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has taken this one win as precedence for removing Kasich from the campaign trail. The New York businessman has asserted that Kasich should not be allowed to run because he “hurts Trump more than he hurts Cruz”.
