Sunrisers Hyderabad have registered a rare, ten-wicket victory over Gujarat Lions in Rajkot today. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss, put Gujarat Lions in to bat, and before the crowd could settle down, pinch hitter Aaron Finch was walking back to the pavilion, bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar off the fourth ball of the match for a duck. Brendon McCullum, for once struggled in making 18 off 17 balls. Captain Suresh Raina battled along, making 75 off 51 balls, that's 55.55% of his team's total, but he received very little support from his teammates, and the Gujarat Lions reached nowhere in reaching 135 for 8 off their 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled splendidly, achieving figures of 4 for 29 off his four overs. A total of 135 was never going to be enough for Gujarat Lions, especially when you have a player like David Warner in the opposition, and so it turned out as the Sunrisers Hyderabad openers David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan made mincemeat of the Gujarat Lions, blasting their way to victory in the 15th over, to register a most comprehensive ten-wicket win for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
