IPL 2016: SEASON 9

The Mumbai Indians have completely outplayed the Kings XI Punjab in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League in Mohali today. After put in to bat, Mumbai Indians lost their skipper Rohit Sharma to the second ball of the match but after that it was all chaos and mayhem for the Kings XI Punjab bowlers and fielders as Parthiv Patel and Ambati Rayudu ran them ragged with some skilful batting and power hitting in a stand of 137 for the second wicket off 14 overs, scoring at nearly ten runs per over. Mumbai Indians ended their innings with a hefty total of 189 for six wickets, with Parthiv Patel top scoring with 81 off 58 balls while Ambati Rayudu contributed 65 off just 37 deliveries, giving catches to the crowd as many as four times. Most of the Kings XI Punjab top order batsmen made useful scores but none of them made any match winning contribution, and with wickets falling regularly 164 for seven was as far as the Kings XI Punjab could get to, as Mumbai Indians ran away with a convincing 25-run victory.
