IPL 2016: SEASON 9

It's extremely unusual for a bowler to take six wickets for 19 runs and still end up on the losing side. It almost never happens in a Test match or in a ODI, let alone in a T20 match. Adam Zampa had this chastening experience today as his team Rising Pune Supergiants made a mess of it, chasing the Sunrisers Hyderabad's target of 137 in the Indian Premier League today. After the Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to bat first upon winning the toss, thereby breaking the trend of inserting the opposition in, Adam Zampa applied the brakes on them with a mesmerizing spell of six wickets for 19 runs off his four overs, piercing through the Sunrisers Hyderabad like a hot knife through butter. A total of 138 to win should have been a piece of cake for the Rising Pune Supergiants but they neither did raise their game nor did they look like giants as they indulged in self-destruction, could not put any worthwhile partnership in place, and collapsed to 133 for 8, losing the contest by four runs. Ashish Nehra was the architect of the Sunrisers Hyderabad's victory as he took three crucial wickets for 29. This was a match that Zampa would like to remember for a long time but everybody else in the team would want to forget in a hurry.
