IPL 2016: SEASON 9

Mumbai Indians have beaten Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the 41st match of the Indian Premier League. Royal Challengers Bangalore, after being invited to bat first, put up a small total of 151 for four wickets, and that's a total that does not win T20 matches usually. Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle, the big guns failed to get going, Lokesh Rahul played a fine knock of 68 off 53 balls with four sixes but the Royal Challengers Bangalore finished clearly 30 runs short of what they should have scored. Ambati Rayudu, Kieran Pollard and James Buttler, the latter two power hitters, ensured that the Mumbai Indians had no trouble whatsoever in overtaking the RCB total with plenty of balls and wickets to spare. James Buttler made an unbeaten 29 off 11 balls, launching the ball into the stands three times. Royal Challengers Bangalore just don't seem to be getting it right nowadays.

Sad news for the cricketing fraternity as renowned cricket commentator and broadcaster Tony Cozier has passed away at the age of 75. Tony Cozier was the golden voice of West Indies cricket for over 50 years and brought in rigor, intelligence, energy and authority to the microphone.
