The New York Times was out with a blistering report Saturday on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, shining a spotlight on his oftentimes problematic personal and professional dealings with women. Trump's treatment of the women he has considered rivals during his presidential campaign has been well-documented, including his threats and tweet attacks against Ted Cruz's wife Heidi, his crude dismissals of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and his insults of one-time primary competitor Carly Fiorina.But the Times dove deep into his long history of employing women in the Trump Organization and in his beauty pageants, painting a sometimes contradictory portrait of a man who both elevated women professionally and yet still treated them with blatant disrespect.
8 DEAD, 44 INJURED IN TEXAS CHARTER BUS CRASH
Eight people were killed and 44 were hospitalized Saturday after a charter bus left a south Texas highway and rolled over.State Department of Public Safety spokesman Conrad Hein said the bus left Highway 83 in Webb County after the driver apparently lost control. The driver is believed to be among the injured, Hein said.The bus originated in San Juan, Texas, near the U.S. border with Mexico, and was traveling to Eagle Pass, about 300 miles north, authorities said.Injured were taken to hospitals in Laredo and Carrizo Springs.
MAN ACCIDENTALLY BUYS STOLEN WWI-ERA CANNON
A World War I-era cannon has been recovered after it was swiped from Veterans Memorial Hall in Richmond, California. The brass and iron cannon, which was stolen May 1, weighs about a ton. It sat outside the building for almost 70 years. After a KNTV news report about the missing cannon aired, an unidentified man from a neighboring city called the Richmond Police Department saying the stolen piece of history was sitting in his front yard.
