Attacking everything from his appearance to his values, Warren implied that Trump did not care about America, but rather only wanted the presidency for personal gain. Her backing of Clinton is indicative of the role she will play in the general election and further highlights Clinton taking control of the Democratic party. Clinton’s struggle to beat Bernie Sanders in the primaries opened her up to criticism that she did not have the support of the liberals in her party. Warren’s backing changed that entirely.
