Joshua Brown was a huge proponent of driverless cars. The technology, which had been implemented in Tesla’s cars, was not perfect. Tesla’s instructions to drivers who made use of the autopilot system was to keep their hands on the wheel and stay alert at all times. Brown was one of the most vocal supporters of autonomous driving, posting 24 YouTube videos demonstrating the power of Tesla’s system. Sadly, Brown died in an accident related to Tesla’s autopilot. He was driving using the system when a tractor came in front of him. The car continued to drive, going under the tractor and hitting two fences and a pole before finally stopping. A DVD was in the portable player, and police are checking to see if the player was in use at the time of the accident.
