WORKERS STRIKE AT TAJ MAHAL CASINO

The Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, no longer owned by Trump, is going to have a rough weekend. After failing to reach a settlement with negotiators, 1000 workers have gone on strike, according to a statement from the union UNITE Here. Alan Rivin, the general manager of the casino, says that the establishment will remain open, as they do have a strike contingency plan. The staff was criticized by management for walking out. Financier Carl Icahn owns the casino. The CEO of Icahn Enterprises, Tony Rodio, said that the strike was indicative of how hard the staff were trying to close the casino.
