FBI URGES NO CHARGES IN CLINTON EMAILS

The shadow of the emails probe has been a heavy one over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the Oval Office. However, that shadow was lifted, in part, by FBI Director James Comey. In a statement on Tuesday, Comey recommended that charges not be brought against the presumptive Democratic nominee. However, Comey’s recommendation came at the price of an admonishment against Clinton’s character. He said that, even though there was not enough to prosecute, that Clinton and her team had been ‘extremely careless’ in their handling of an unsecured email server. He went on to say that the nominee should have known better than to handle classified government files over her private email server.
