POLICE KILL MAN IN FALCON HEIGHTS
Just one day after the shooting in Baton Rouge, someone recorded yet another instance of police brutality. In Falcon Heights, Minnesota, Diamond Reynolds livestreamed the aftermath of her fiancé’s death by police officer. Philando Castile had been pulled over by the officer for a broken taillight. When the officer approached the car, Castile told him that he had a concealed carry permit while reaching for his wallet. The officer saw Castile’s movement, drew his gun, and shot the man in the arm. Directly after the shooting, Reynolds began to livestream the incident, getting a shot of the officer with his gun still aimed at her fiancé. The officer, clearly agitated, told Reynolds to keep her hands where he could see them. Once she realized that Castile wouldn’t make it, she became distraught, pleading with God that this wasn’t happening.
