SHEILA DIKSHIT READY FOR A BIG FIGHT IN UP
Sheila Dikshit, Congress’ chief ministerial face, has said that she will make a comeback to active politics after a two and a half year hiatus. The 78 year old is responding to calls from workers in Uttar Pradesh who want her to campaign in that state. She recently made a statement saying Priyanka Gandhi’s could be a vital part in Uttar Pradesh. Dikshit has the track record to win seats for Congress, as she showed in 1998, 2003, and 2008, where she managed to lead Congress to major victories in Delhi assembly polls. However, her defeat in 2013, where she managed to lose her own seat, did not inspire confidence in Congress leaders. However, she believes that she is ready for the battle.
