The general election is about to get underway, and both candidates are trying their best to appeal to independent voters. However, Donald Trump’s latest gaffe may prove to be a stumbling point in this election. In an interview with CNN, the GOP nominee, when asked about Ukraine, alleged that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “not going into Ukraine”, when in fact, Putin had already “gone into” Ukraine and taken Crimea. When confronted by the interviewer, Trump said that “he's there in a certain way. But I'm not there”, proceeding to blame the Obama administration for Ukrainian troubles.
