AMERICAN STABBED IN LONDON
London police identified the woman stabbed to death on the streets of the British capital as an American. The killer, identified as an individual with Somali and Norwegian heritage, killed the woman and injured five others. The horrific nature of the attack did not immediately propel the police to declare it an act of terrorism. Rather, Scotland Yard Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said that the crux of this issue was mental health. The targets seemed to be random, and the police are treating it as a random act of violence. Upon arriving at the scene, police tasered the individual and took him to the hospital. The American woman was pronounced dead on arrival.
