Following the confessions of a capture LeT terrorist, Indian officials brought their evidence before Pakistan authorities, demanding answers as to their continued allowance of cross-border terrorism. An MEA statement had foreign secretary S Jaishankar protesting Pakistan’s support of LeT terrorists. India’s capture was a man named Bahadur Ali, who had been operating throughout Kashmir, until he was caught in the northern regions of the divided territory. Officials maintained that this sudden outbreak of violence in Kashmir was a consequence of Pakistan’s continued support of it.
