GIRL RESCUED FROM ITALY QUAKE

A devastating 6.2 magnitude earthquake devastated the Italian town of Amatrice. It was followed by an aftershock which upped the death toll to 241 people. Search and rescue teams on site were faced with a daunting challenge. Very few people have been rescued and they know that they are fighting the clock. A CNN correspondent said that any survivors have up to 72 hours. This proved true for a little girl rescued from the rubble. Teams heard noise coming from under a collapsed building and dug through it to rescue the child. She had been trapped under the debris for 17 hours.
