UBER WINS LAWSUIT

Uber has recently faced the possibility of a price-fixing lawsuit which could do them some harm. However, the car sharing service company caught a break when U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff agreed to put a hold on the proceedings until the defendants could appeal his decision to disallow arbitration. Spencer Meyer, the plaintiff bringing the suit against Uber, has accused the company of charging higher prices during periods of higher demand. Judge Rakoff said that Meyer would have to consent to arbitration, as Uber has requested. Meyer opposed the delaying of the case.
