PENNSYLVANIA EX-ATTORNEY GENERAL GETS 10-23 MONTHS IN LEAK CASE


Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane was sentenced on Monday to 10 to 23 months in jail on her conviction on perjury, obstruction of justice and other charges related to the leaking of confidential information from grand jury proceedings. Kane, 50, the first woman and first Democrat elected Pennsylvania attorney general, was convicted by a jury in Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in August and resigned two days later.
