The 49ers' 2025 NFL season didn't end the way they wanted it to even after defying many odds, but some individual performances are getting the recognition they deserve. Star running back Christian McCaffrey is a finalist for three AP NFL awards, including the Most Valuable Player honor.
McCaffrey is competing alongside Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, New England Patriots QB Drake Maye and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. He is the only non-QB finalist for the league's most prestigious award.
