Former 49ers running back Frank Gore, the NFL’s No. 3 all-time leading rusher, was announced Tuesday as a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

Gore is one of four first-time eligible candidates to advance to the final 15 in the voting process, joining quarterback Drew Brees, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and tight end Jason Witten.
