The 49ers added a big name to their coaching staff. San Francisco hired former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus as its assistant head coach of defense.
Eberflus, who was the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator in 2025, served as Bears head coach from 2022-2024 before he was fired in Nov. 2024.
